Ever since we established the network 'Children, Gardens, Didactics, and Practice,' 'Rowe' has been high on the wish list as a guest and inspirer. 'Rowe' is the nickname for Australian permaculture pioneer and educator Rosemary Morrow. When permaculture emerged in Australia in the 70s, she was instrumental in formulating and spreading the famous principles. Recognizing that the initial explanation of permaculture was not sufficiently recipient-oriented, she delved into the work of 'teaching permaculture' and fostering engagement. She has collaborated with permaculture educators worldwide and authored several books, including Earth User’s Guide to Teaching.
During the meeting, she will discuss the unique pedagogy she helped shape, where the focus on 'how people learn (differently)' is one of the many important imprints she has made on 'train the trainers' courses within permaculture.
